Dell Laptop, Tablet, and Desktops Tested for Windows 11 Compatibility

All newly introduced commercial platforms (OptiPlex, Latitude, and Precision) are qualified for the most current version of Windows 11 or Windows 10 (version 22H2). Dell enables the installation of (N-1 and N-2) which are prior Windows versions for customers through the validation of those versions on Dell devices. Customers must install those versions themselves or through our Dell Configuration Services (Custom Factory Integration (CFI)). This process supports a delayed customer adoption schedule for Windows and alleviates concerns around instability with new releases.

For example, a commercial platform launches in March 2024. Dell qualifies and ships Windows 11 (version 23H2) but does not ship the previous two Windows versions. Dell continues to qualify the previous two Windows releases during production and post production as specified.

The tables below list those Dell commercial laptops, tablets, and desktops that have been qualified for Windows 10 (version 22H2), and Windows 11. Windows 10 (version 22H2) is the final feature update issued for Windows 10. It is supported until October 14, 2025, after which it is not supported. XPS devices are considered consumer devices. However, there are some shipments of these products that support our commercial products.

This article is updated quarterly based on the latest Windows versions from Microsoft and as new devices are announced. (Version as of March 2024.)
