In this video, you'll learn about creating and editing a project by using the VxRail Configuration Portal. Using the "My Projects" tab in the VxRail Configuration Portal, you can create projects to manage contact information and access privileges of users who are involved in planning, installing, deploying, and managing your VxRail clusters.
When you create a cluster, you must always associate it with a project by using the VxRail Configuration Portal. Therefore, ensure that you create at least one project before creating a cluster. Only the project owner and project users are permitted to edit the cluster configuration settings. For this demonstration let's create, edit, and delete a project on the VxRail Configuration Portal. Click "My Projects", and then click "Create".
Enter the project name and other information, and then click "Next". Enter the customer company name, customer contact name, and then a valid Dell EMC support account email address to share the project with a contact. To share the project with a contact, click "Yes" for Project Access.
To add another contact, click "Add Contact". Click "Next". If you're working with Dell Deployment Services, or a partner service provider, enter their contact details and then click "Next". Enter comments about the project and then click "Finish". The project is created and listed in the "My Projects" tab.
To edit a project's priorities, select the corresponding checkbox and then click "Edit". Edit the properties and click "Finish". To delete a project, select the project and then click "Delete". The project is deleted, and the list is updated. For more information about VxRail, visit Dell.com/Support.
