Prerequisites
Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
Power off the system and all attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet, and disconnect the peripherals.
If applicable, remove the system from the rack.
Remove the system cover.
Removing the air shroud:
Hold the edges of the air shroud, and lift the air shroud out of the system.
Removing the expansion card risers:
For Riser 1, loosen the captive screws on the riser.
Press the blue release tab and holding the edges lift the expansion card riser from the riser connector on the system board.
NOTE:The numbers on the image do not depict the exact steps. The numbers are for representation of sequence.
For Riser 3, loosen the captive screw, and then press the blue release tab and holding the edges lift the expansion card riser from the riser connector on the system board.
For Riser 2, press the blue button on the riser, and holding the touch points lift the expansion card riser from the riser connector on the system board.
For Riser 4, loosen the captive screw on the riser, and then press the blue release tab on the riser, and holding the touch point lift the expansion card riser from the riser connector on the system board.
Removing the Versabay assembly:
Remove the screws and disconnect the power cables.
Disconnect the signal cable.
Unlock the plungers and slide the Versabay tray to rear of the system.
Disengage the Versabay assembly from the chassis and lift it out of the system.
NOTE:The procedure is similar for both Versabay assembly components.
Installing the Versabay assembly:
Align the Versabay tray to the chassis and slide it to the front of the system.
Lock the plunger to secure the Versabay assembly to the chassis.
Connect the signal cable.
Align the power cable to the Versabay board and secure the cables with the screws.
NOTE:The procedure is similar for both Versabay assembly components.
Installing the expansion card risers:
Holding the edges or the touch points, align the holes on the expansion card riser with the guides on the system board.
Lower the expansion card riser into place and press the touch points until the expansion card riser connector is fully seated on the system board connector.
Tighten the captive screws on the risers and system if any.

Installing the air shroud:
Align the slot on the air shroud with the standoff on the system.
Lower the air shroud into the system until it is firmly seated.
Replace the system cover.
If applicable, install the system into the rack.
Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet, and then power on the system.
