Prerequisites
Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
Turn off the system.
Remove the system from the enclosure.
Install the I/O connector cover.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the I/O connectors, ensure that you cover the connectors when you remove the system from the enclosure.
Removing the PCIe mezzanine card:
Push and hold the retention bracket away from the PCIe mezzanine card.
Open the PCIe mezzanine card retention latch by pressing the release tab on the retention latch.
Lift the end of the retention latch until the two connectors on the PCIe mezzanine card disengage from connectors on the system board.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the PCIe mezzanine card, you must hold the card only by its edges.
Lift the PCIe mezzanine card away from the system.
Close the retention latch.
Installing the PCIe mezzanine card:
Open the PCIe mezzanine card retention latch by pressing the release tab on the retention latch and lift the end of the latch.
If present, remove the connector cover from the PCIe mezzanine card bay.
Align the two connectors on the PCIe mezzanine card with the connectors on the system board.
Press down the PCIe mezzanine card until the connectors on the card completely engage with the corresponding connectors.
The retention bracket on the side of the system latches onto the PCIe mezzanine card.
Close the retention latch to secure the PCIe mezzanine card.
Remove the I/O connector cover.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the I/O connectors, do not touch the connectors or the connector pins.
Install the system into the enclosure.
Turn on the system.
