CAUTION Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that are shipped with your product.
Ensure that you follow the Safety instructions.
Turn off the system and any attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and disconnect the peripherals.
Lay the system on its side.
Removing the system cover:
Lift the cover release latch and remove the cover away from the system.

Removing the power supply unit (PSU):
Disconnect all the power cables from the PSU to the system board.
Remove the screws securing the PSU to the chassis.
Press the release tab beside the PSU, and slide the PSU toward the front of the system.
Lift the PSU out of the chassis.

Installing the power supply unit (PSU):
Place the PSU in the chassis and slide it toward the back of the chassis.
To secure the PSU to the chassis, insert and tighten the screws on the back of the chassis.
Connect the power cables to the system board connectors.

Installing the system cover:
Align the tabs on the system cover with the corresponding slots on the system chassis.
Lower the system cover onto the chassis until it clicks into place.

Place the system upright on its feet on a flat and stable surface.
Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet.
Turn on the system, including any attached peripherals."
