Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and disconnect the peripherals.
If installed, remove the front bezel.
If applicable, remove the system from the rack.
Lay the system on its side.
Remove the system cover.
Removing the storage controller card:
Remove the cable from card.
Lift the storage controller card away from the system.
Installing the storage controller card:
Align the slots on the edge of the storage controller card with the tabs on the support bracket.
Lower the storage controller card onto the connector on the system board.
Install the cable to card.
After working inside your system:
Install the system cover.
Place the system upright on a flat, stable surface.
If applicable, install the system into the rack.
If removed, install the front bezel.
Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet.
Turn on the system, including any attached peripherals.
