NOTE: Before working on the right control panel ear, ensure to remove the sled or sled blank from bay 8.
Removing the right control panel ear:
Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the screw that secures the control panel cable access hatch to the enclosure.
Remove the control panel cable access hatch.
Pull the blue pull tag, to disconnect the power button cable from the right control panel.
Remove the screws that secure the right control panel cable cover to the chassis and remove it from the enclosure.
Remove the screws that secure the right control panel ear to the chassis.
Move the control panel partially away from the enclosure.
Pull the blue pull tag to disconnect the control panel cable from the right control panel.
Hold the right control panel ear and the cable, remove them from the enclosure.
Installing the right control panel ear:
Connect the right control panel cable to the control panel board.
Align the right control panel ear with the enclosure.
Fasten the screws to secure the right control panel ear to the chassis.
Fasten the screws to secure the right control panel cable cover to the chassis.
Connect the power button cable to the control panel board.
Install the control panel cable access hatch.
Fasten the screw to secure the control panel cable access hatch to the chassis.
Install the sled or sled blank in bay 8.
