Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions.
Power off the system and all attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and disconnect the peripherals.
If applicable, remove the system from the rack.
Removing the rear system cover:
Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the rear system cover to the system.
Slide the cover towards the back of the system.
Lift the cover away from the system.
Installing the rear system cover:
Align the tabs on the system cover with the guide slots on the system and slide the cover towards the front of the system.
The system cover slides forward, the tabs on the system cover engage with the guide slots on the system and the cover latch locks into place.
CAUTION: Place the cables below the guide slots on the system and do not slide the rear cover forward if cables are getting pinched.
Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, secure the cover in place with screws.
Follow the procedure listed in the After working inside your system.
Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet.
Turn on the attached peripherals and then turn on the system.
