Hello, welcome to our open manage integration for Vmware, VCENTER training series. This video will introduce you to the repositories available in Omivv. First, we will go to the open manage integration plug in and select our repositories from the compliance and deployment. Tab. Omivv comes default with two repositories already listed the Dell online catalog and the validated MX stack catalog to add a repository to the repository profiles, create a new profile and step through the wizard.
We need to name our profile and we need to provide a sure location for our DRM repository. You are not able to add the repository until you complete the test and verify that the repository access is correct. Then finishing out the repository wizard, we will see that our repository is added to our list of uh catalogs here. Oivv also has the option to create a VSAN driver profile when choosing the repository type, select a driver and provide a SI S or NFS share where the drivers are will reside unlike other repositories.
This is just the shared folder that will contain the bibs for the drivers provided by either Dell or VM Ware. Again, we provide a user name and password to gain access to the share, complete this by testing and verifying that you have access to a repository containing the driver files. This will also be listed as a driver type repository.
If you are using a custom http or http S share, you do not have that option to add uh to create new profile. The only way to add a custom http or http S share is by going into the Dell default catalog and editing to create a custom catalog location. We simply provide a link to the http server or http S server that is hosting the GZE XML catalog file and then we can test the connection and verify that we do have access to our share. I'm gonna cancel this wizard because we plan to use the default catalog in an upcoming video.
Thank you for watching our video on repositories in Omivv.
