Inside the box, you’ll find the Dell Wired Collaboration Keyboard and a pack containing: the Quick Start Guide, and the Warranty, Safety and Regulatory document.
Press the keyboard feet to open and extend it. Note: this keyboard comes with two types of USB connectors: Type-A and Type-C. For a Type-C connection, simply unplug the connector adapter. Plug the connector into an available USB port on your computer. Your computer will automatically detect the keyboard. When the keyboard is connected, the collaboration LEDs will light up and fade out after a few seconds.
This keyboard has dedicated collaboration keys use to control video conferences for Zoom and Microsoft Teams apps. To use these collaboration keys for Zoom, press the respective key after joining a Zoom meeting.
To activate these control keys for Microsoft Teams, enable the third-party app API on Teams. First, open your Teams app and click the ‘Settings and more’ icon Next, click ‘Settings’. In the Settings menu, click ‘Privacy’. Scroll down to ‘Third-party app API’ and click ‘Manage API’.
On the new screen, slide the switch to the right to enable the API. After enabling the API, join a Teams meeting. When a new connection request screen appears, click ‘Allow’. Then, press the respective collaboration key to activate or deactivate its function during the video conference session.
