In this video we'll see How to troubleshoot print quality issues on your Dell V525w or V75w printer. Lines or streaks may appear on the printed page due to several reasons.
Low ink levels could be one of them. To check ink levels, open the printer menu and select 'Setup'. Under Maintenance, select 'Check Ink Levels'. Verify that you have sufficient ink in all cartridges. Print quality settings could also cause lines to appear on printed pages. Open Dell printer home and select 'Adjust print options'.
Select the Quality tab, and set the print quality to 'Best'. Click 'Apply' and 'OK'. Verify if the print looks good. Clogged printhead nozzles could be another reason for poor print quality. To clean the printhead nozzles go to the Printer Setup Menu. Select 'Maintenece' and 'Replace Printhead'.
Lift the scanner unit, and The printhead positions itself to the center of the printer. First, remove all the cartridges. Gently press the tab at the far end of the cartridge to release it. Now lift the cartridge away from the carrier. Similarly remove all the other cartridges. Press the clip and lift the printhead cage upwards. Push the clip on the printhead downwards to release it. Now remove the printhead from the chasis.
Gently clean the nozzles using a lint-free cloth. Reseat the printhead and push it down to ensure correct alignment. Close the printhead cage and gently push it down until you hear a click. Now install the cartridges. First position the black cartridge in the slot, and Slide your index finger along its length until you hear a click.
Similarly install the other cartridges. Take good care to install the cartridges correcty in the specified order. Close the scanner unit. To ensure proper alignment of the printhead, go to the Printer Setup Menu. Select 'Maintenance' and 'Align Printer'. Print a test page and verify if the print looks good.
