Determine if your computer has a low 35 watt processor by checking if there is a power adapter port on the back panel. Ensure that you always use ESD protection when working inside the computer.
Place your computer display down on a clean and flat surface. Press and hold the securing tab, then slide the stand toward you and lift the stand off your computer. Press down on the securing tab, then slide and lift to remove the back cover. Locate the DIMM door on the system board shield Press the securing tabs on both sides of the door and lifted off the shield, exposing the location of the memory slots.
Carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end of the memory module slot until it pops out. Lift the memory at an angle and remove it from its slot on the system board. Perform this procedure again if there is a second memory module installed To avoid static damage, ensure that you have ESD protection equipped, and avoid touching the metallic contacts or any components on the memory when handling it.
To install the memory. Align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the slot and slide it in. Then press down on the memory module until it clicks into place. Perform this procedure again if you need to install a second memory module. Replace the DIMM door, and press it into place.
