Learn the correct steps to remove and install Mezzanine cards. Utilize a Phillips 2 screwdriver to secure the card and align the connectors. Follow the guide to ensure a secure fit, avoiding damage to the card during the installation process.
Prerequisites
Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
Power off the system and all attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and disconnect the peripherals.
If applicable, remove the system from the rack.
Remove the system cover.
Removing the Mezzanine card:
Use the Phillips #2 screwdriver, loosen the captive screws that secure the Mezzanine card to the system.
Lift the Mezzanine card out of the sled.
NOTE To prevent damage to Mezzanine card, you must hold the card only by its edges.
Installing the Mezzanine card:
Align the connector on the Mezzanine card with the connector on the system board.
Place the Mezzanine card on the connector and press the blue touch point firmly until it is fully seated.
Using the Phillips #2 screwdriver, tighten the captive screws on the Mezzanine card.
If applicable, remove the I/O connector cover from the system connectors. Install the sled into the enclosure.
Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet, and then power on the system.
