How to Reconfigure a Virtual Disk in OMSA

This video will show how to expand or change the RAID level of a virtual disk using OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA).

Here's how to reconfigure virtual disks using OpenManage Server Administrator. Before making changes to virtual disks create and verify a backup.

Not all RAID controllers support these features, check your controller card manual for more information. Open the OMSA browser interface. Expand the "Storage" section, select your controller, then "Virtual Disks". From the dropdown select "Reconfigure".

The left pane shows all present physical drives. The right pane shows those currently part of the virtual disk. To add another drive, select it in the left pane.

The RAID level of the array can also be changed. Review your settings, then click finish. After adding disks or changing the RAID level the array is rebuilt in the background.
