This video shows how to install and remove the serial card on Precision 5860 Tower/Precision 7960 Tower/ Precision 7865 Tower/Precision 7875 Tower.

Before you begin, turn off the computer, and disconnect all the attached peripherals. 

Ensure that you always use ESD protection when working inside the computer.

In this video we show how to install and remove the serial card On Precision 7865 Tower. Before you begin, Turn off the computer, disconnect all the attached peripherals, And remove any SD card installed in the SD card slot on your computer. Ensure that you always use ESD protection when working inside the computer.

To begin Insert the side-cover key Turn the key anti-clockwise to unlock the side cover. Then Push the release latch on the side cover, And pull outwards to remove the side cover. Now Let’s see how to install the serial card. Lay the computer on to its right side. Open the PCIe latch And remove the PCIe filler. Then, align the serial card with the notch on the system board. And then insert the serial card into the PCIe slot on the chassis.

And finally close the PCIe latch. The serial card installation process is now complete. Note. We will demonstrate the side cover installation process Once, We show the serial card removal process. To remove the serial card, Open the PCIe latch And slide the serial card from the PCIe slot And remove it from the computer. Now, Align and place the PCIe filler into the PCIe slot And close the PCIe latch. 

To close the side cover, Align the tabs on the side cover, with the slots on the chassis, then move it inwards until it clicks in place. Insert the side-cover key into the key slot And turn it clockwise to lock the computer. You can now connect all the peripherals.
