How to Run the LCD BIST to See if the Video Distortion Issue is Present

This guide explains how to run an LCD built-in self-test on your computer. It details steps to check for screen abnormalities by displaying a series of solid colors.

To run an LCD built-in self-test, turn off the computer and disconnect any external devices. Plug in the charger and make sure the computer screen is clean and free of dust particles. Press and hold the “D” key while turning on the computer to enter the LCD built-in self-test mode. Continue to hold the “D” key until you see solid colors on the screen.

The display will switch between black, white, red, green, and blue. Carefully inspect the screen for any abnormalities.
