In this video, we show how to replace the drive bay on your computer. Before working inside your system, review all safety guidelines to protect the system and ensure your personal safety. For full safety information, view the Service Manual at: Dell.com/Support.
Before you begin, remove the left side cover and the front cover. To remove the drive bay, disconnect the hard drive data cable and the power cable. Then lift the drive bay from the rear to remove it. To
install the drive bay, attach the cable clip. Allowing it to the slot and snap it into place. If you are installing the drive bay for the first time, you'll need a cable clip, hard drive power and data cable. Connect the hard drive power cable to the system board. And route it through the cable clip.
Do the same for the data cable. Connect it to the system board. And rotate it through the clip as well. Align the drive bay to the chassis and snap it into place. Then reconnect the cables. For more information or support, visit: Dell.com/Support.
