PowerVault ME5: Failure of a Spare or Unused Drive Does Not Cause an Alert

If a disk does not belong to an active disk group, if it should fail, an alert is not triggered. A failure of a spare disk or an unused disk in an ME5 array does not trigger a hardware failure alert. Customer sees a drive failure message in the event log but no alert is triggered in email, syslog, or SupportAssist.
