The Service Tag and Express Service Code are found on the front of the system by pulling out the information tag. Alternatively, the information may be on a sticker on the back of the storage system chassis.
Hi there.
In this video we'll have a look at multiple ways to locate the Service Tag on your PowerVault system. The first method to find a tag is via the PowerVault Manager. Log into PowerVault Manager using your credentials. Once logged on, click on the "Maintenance" tab at the left side of the page.
From the dropdown select "About" and then select "General System Information" The Service Tag is the 7 digit alpha numeric number listed at the bottom of the page. Alternatively, the Service Tag can be found via the systems command line using either of the following commands.
It can also be found via an SSH session to the controller's management IP using the below command. Finally, if you're physically next to the PowerVault system, the Service Tag can be located on the pull out tab at the front of the machine. Simply pull the blue tab labeled "EST" and you'll be able to see the Service Tag. And that's it.
Thanks for watching.
