Hi there. In this video, we'll cover the lost connection to the support assist backend power vault error. Power Vault ME5 arrays on firmware version ME 5.1.0, 0.0.0 or ME 5.1.0.1.0 that have support assist configured using a direct connection will have lost the ability to connect to the Dell endpoint from January 14.
To restore support assist connectivity, upgrade to the latest available Power Vault ME5 controller firmware available on the Dell support website. Navigate to the Dell support page at Dell.com/support. From here, enter your product service tag or search for the model from the options on the right. From the product page, select Drivers and Downloads.
Here you will be shown the most up to date software for your system. Locate the most recent firmware file, download it and install it to your machine. And that's it.
