To reinstall the Google Chrome app, you'll need to uninstall it first. To do this, close any Google Chrome windows you have open. Click on the Windows “Start” button and navigate to “Settings”. Click on “Apps” and then “Installed apps”. Scroll down until you see “Google Chrome” and click on the three corresponding dots.
Click on “Uninstall” and then click on “Uninstall” again. Select “Yes” on the pop-up that says “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?” If another pop-up appears asking for confirmation, check off the box next to “Also delete your browsing data?” and then click on “Uninstall”.
Once Chrome has uninstalled from your device, restart your computer before reinstalling it. To reinstall Google Chrome, open a Microsoft Edge web browser and type in “google.com/chrome” into the web address bar. Click on the “Download Chrome” button.
Once the file downloads, click on “Open file”. Click “Yes” on the pop-up that says “Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?” Wait for your computer to complete the installation. Once Chrome has finished installing, the app will launch automatically.
