Reset Your iDRAC Thermal Profile

Your iDRAC Thermal Profile controls the fans on your system. An issue with the settings can cause excess fan noise, or reduce performance. Here's how to reset it to the factory default.

Your iDRAC Thermal Profile controls the fans on your system. An issue with the settings can cause excess fan noise, or reduce performance. To rule out a configuration issue with the Thermal Profile, or any other BIOS settings, restore the factory defaults in System Setup.

Please note that this will also revert any intentional changes you have made, and these will have to be re-applied. To perform the reset, restart the system and press F2 on POST to enter System Setup. Select 'System BIOS' then 'Default'. Exit, saving your settings, and reboot.

To check the Thermal Profile, again press F2 on POST to enter System Setup. Go to 'iDRAC Settings', then 'Thermal'. Check the default thermal profile is selected, and no custom options are applied. Thanks for watching.
