How to replace a Disk Drive in a 60 Slot DAE For VNX1 and VNX2

This Dell EMC Customer Replaceable Unit (CRU) Video demonstrates how to replace a Disk Drive in a 60 Slot DAE (Disk Array Enclosure) in a VNX1 and VNX2 System.

Identify the faulted disk module via the amber fault light. To remove a faulted disk module, push the orange release tab, then lift the latch, and slowly pull the module about one inch from its slot.

Wait 30 seconds for the disk to stop spinning, then remove the module, and place it on a padded static-free surface. To insert the new disk module, align the module with the guides in the slot, and, with the latch open, gently lower the module into the slot.

The latch will begin to rotate downward. Push the handle down to fully engage the latch.
