Prerequisites
Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.
Power off the system and all attached peripherals.
Remove the system cover.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet, and disconnect the peripherals.
Disconnect the control panel cable and control panel USB cable from the system board.
Remove the front bezel.
Removing the control panel cage:
Using the Phillips 1 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the control panel cage to the system.
Slide the control panel cage out of the system along with the cables.
Removing the control panel:
Disconnect the control panel cable from the control panel.
CAUTION: Do not use excessive force when removing the control panel cables as it can damage the connectors.
Using the Phillips 2 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the control panel to the control panel cage.
Slide the control panel out of the control panel cage.
Installing the control panel:
Align and insert the control panel into the control panel cage.
Using the Phillips 2 screwdriver, secure the control panel to the cage with screws.
Connect the control panel cable to the control panel.
Install the control panel cage.
Align and insert the control panel cage into the control panel cage slot in the system.
Secure the control panel cage to the system with screws.
Route the control panel cable and control panel USB cable through the system clip.
Connect the control panel cable and control panel USB cable to the system board.
Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system.
Replace the system cover.
Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet, and then power on the system.
