Prerequisites
Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system:
Power off the system and all attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet, and disconnect the peripherals.
If applicable, remove the system from the rack.
Remove the system cover.
Remove the drive backplane cover.
If installed, Remove the air shroud.
Removing the right control panel:
Disconnect the right control panel cable from the connector on the system board.
Press and pull the latch to slide the cable out of the clip.
NOTE: Observe the routing of the cable as you remove the right control panel from the system.
Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the right control panel to the system.
Holding the cable, slide the right control panel out of the system.
Installing the right control panel:
Align and slide the right control panel in the slot on the system.
Connect the right control panel cable to the connector on the system board.
Route the right control panel cable through the side wall of the system. Close the cable latch and slide the cable into the clip.
NOTE: Route the cable properly to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
Using the Phillips #1 screwdriver, tighten the screws that secure the right control panel to the system.
Install the drive backplane cover.
If removed, Install the air shroud.
Follow the procedure listed in After working inside your system:
Replace the system cover.
If applicable, install the system into the rack.
Reconnect the peripherals and connect the system to the electrical outlet, and then power on the system.
