This video demonstrates how to disable NVIDIA G-Sync, enable overclocking, adjust your system for best performance, and run a CPU stress test using Dell SupportAssist. Follow the easy steps to optimize your gaming and system performance.
You can disable NVIDIA G-Sync from the NVIDIA Control Panel. Right-click on your desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel. Click on Manage 3D Settings to check if your system and monitor support G-Sync under the Display tab. Click on Set Up G-Sync, uncheck the box next to Enable G-Sync and G-Sync Compatible, and click Apply. Next, let's enable overclocking.
Click on the Windows start button and type Alienware Command Center into the search bar. Open the result in the Command Center, go to the Performance tab, click on the arrow to browse the different profiles, and click OK. Select the Overdrive tab to set your overclocking to its maximum settings.
Now, let's set your window settings to the best performance. Click on the battery icon at the bottom right of the taskbar, select Power and Sleep Settings under the Power section. Use the dropdown to set the power mode as Best Performance. Next, we can run a CPU stress test.
Click on the Windows start button to search for and open SupportAssist. Go to the Support tab and click on Get Started under Test My Hardware. Under "I want to troubleshoot my PC," choose "I want to check a specific piece of hardware." Under CPU devices, choose CPU, select CPU Stress, and click on Run Test. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the test.
