To begin, loosen the two captive screws that secure the bse cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. And then remove the seven screws that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. Pry the base cover from the top-left corner, and then continue to work on the sides to open the base cover. And then, lift the base cover off the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. Now, disconnect the battery from the system board.
Then turn the computer over and open the display. Press and hold the power button for twenty seconds to ground the computer and drain the flea power. After draining the flea power, close the display and turn the computer over. Remove the screw that secures the M.2 2230 solid-state drive to the solid-state drive bracket. Slide and lift the M.2 2230 solid-state drive from the M.2 card slot on the system board.
You have successfully removed the M.2 2230 solid-state drive. Now, let’s install the M.2 2230 solid-state drive. Align the notch on the solid-state drive with the tab on the solid-state drive slot and slide the M.2 2230 solid-state drive at an angle, to the slot on the system board. Then, replace the screw that secures the M.2 2230 solid-state drive to the solid-state drive bracket. Now connect the battery cable to the system board. Re-install the base cover by aligning and placing the base cover on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
Then, press the edges and sides of the base cover until it snaps into place. Tighten the two captive screws that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. And replace the seven screws that secure the base cover to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. The installation process is now complete.
