How to Remove and Reinstall WLAN for Latitude 3420

This video will demonstrate removal and reinstallation procedure of a WLAN for Latitude 3420.

To remove the wireless module, flip the laptop over and remove the 6 screws from the base cover. Find and loosen the 2 screws at the back of the cover and gently pry the cover away from the hinges. Lift the base cover Locate the wireless module and remove the screw securing it to the motherboard. Disconnect the latch and cables from the module. Lift the module up and away from the system.

To reinstall the wireless module, put it back in place and connect the latch and cables. Screw the module into the computer and secure the base cover.
