For more information about safety guidelines, see the Service Manual at: Dell.com/Support.
To remove GPU risers three and five with the cover and secondary air shroud removed, loosen the five captive screws on the rear of the system. Then press the blue release latch on riser three and lift it up and turn it over. Then unroute the cables from riser five.
Then press the blue release latch on riser five and flip it over. Then disconnect riser three power source and remove. And disconnect risers five power source and remove.
To install GPU risers three and five, place riser five down, upside down on the system and then insert the power cable. Then put GPU three down on the system upside down and connect the cable. Next with riser five, run the power cables in the first hoop and then align and lower it into the system.
Next, reroute the power cables through the hooks on five and then flip riser three over. Align that, making sure the cables are out of the way. Press down, then tighten the five captive screws to secure it. For more information or assistance about the PowerEdge R7715, visit: Dell.com/Support.
