In this video, we will demonstrate how to replace the memory on an Alienware 16 or 16x Aurora. Memory modules of the correct specification can be installed in the memory slots on the system board, which are also called dim one or dim two slots.
Peel away the mylar on the memory module slot, then, using your fingertips spread apart the securing clips on the memory module slot until the memory module pops up. Holding the memory module by the edges, slide and remove it from the slot.
To install the new memory module, align the notch on the memory module with the tab on the memory module slot. Slide the memory module firmly into the slot at an angle. Press it down until it clicks into place. Replace the mylar. Repeat these steps if you're removing or replacing another memory module.
