Before you begin, remove the Palmrest and Keyboard assembly. Remove the screw, securing the thermal shield to the system board. Lift and remove the thermal shield away from the system board. If you are removing an M2 2230 SSD, remove the bracket, lift the SSD. and slide it out from the connection.
To install the solid state drive, align the notch on the SSD to the tab on the SSD slot and slide it into place. If you are installing an M2 2230 SSD, replace the bracket, and place the thermal shield on the SSD. Replace the two screws to secure the thermal shield to the system board.
