In this video, we show how to replace the System Board in an XPS 14 DA14260. Before working inside your system, review all safety guidelines to protect the system and ensure your personal safety. Battery, Solid State Drive, Wireless Module Shield, Display assembly, Thermal Fans and Heatsink.
Remove the two screws that secure the PC beam cables to the system board. And leave the cables away. And remove the interposer board. Handle the PC beam interposers with care by the edges and avoid touching the pins on the connectors. Now disconnect the speaker cables from the system board . Remove the screws that securing the system board to the base cover. Hold a system board on these edges and leave it off the base cover To install the system board, place the board on a base cover or aligning the screw holes.
Now replace the screws to secure the system board. Replace the left and right PC beam interposers on the connectors of the system board. Handle the PC beam interposers with care by the edges and avoid touching the pins on the connectors. Connect the left and right PC beam cables to the interposer.
