In this video, we show how to replace the Wi-Fi 7 internal antenna, location two, in a Dell Pro Micro Thin Client Q9M1260. The actions in the following video should be performed a Dell certified technician.
Before working inside your system, review all safety guidelines to protect the system and ensure your personal safety. For full safety information, view the Service Manual at: Dell.com/Support Before you begin, remove the side cover, Wi-Fi 7 wireless card and Wi-Fi 7 wireless card module.
To remove the Wi-Fi 7 internal antenna, location two, unroute the antenna cable from the chassis. Loosen the captive screw that secures the antenna cover to the internal antenna. Slide and take out the antenna cover. Then, remove the screw that secures the internal antenna, location two, to the chassis. Slide and take out the internal antenna module from the system.
To install the Wi-Fi 7 Internal antenna, location two, align and place the internal antenna to the slot. Then, fasten the screw that secures to the chassis. Align and place the antenna cover to the chassis.
Then, tighten the captive screw that secures it. Route the antenna cable through the routing guides. For more information or support, visit: Dell.com/Support.
