To remove the fan assembly, loosen the screw and unlatch the left side cover. Slide the cover off the system to remove it. Identify the fan assembly and disconnect the cables. Loosen the four screws and remove the two other screws.
Lift the assembly out of the system. Remove the four screws and remove the first fan from the assembly. Remove the other four screws to remove the second fan.
To reinstall the fan assembly, place both fans back in the assembly and tighten the screws to secure them. Place the assembly back in the system and install the two screws.
Tighten the four other screws and reconnect the cables. Place the side cover back on the system and re latch it. Tighten the screw to secure it. For more information about your Dell system, visit Dell.com/Support.
