Follow safety guidelines. Remove system cover and expansion card risers. Disconnect intrusion switch module and reinstall it. Install expansion card risers, ensuring proper alignment and securing screws.
Prerequisites
Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions.
Power off the system and all attached peripherals.
Disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and disconnect the peripherals.
If applicable, remove the system from the rack.
Remove the system cover.
Remove the expansion card risers:
Loosen the captive screws on the riser.
Press the blue release tab or blue button on the riser and holding the edges lift the expansion card riser from the riser connector on the system board.

If the risers are not going to be replaced, install riser blanks and tighten the captive screws.
NOTE:You must install a filler bracket over an empty expansion card slot to maintain Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification of the system. The brackets also keep dust and dirt out of the system and aid in proper cooling and airflow inside the system.
Removing the intrusion switch module:
Disconnect the intrusion switch cable from the connector on the rear I/O board.
Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, loosen the screw on the intrusion switch module.
Slide the intrusion switch module out of the slot on the system.

Installing the intrusion switch module:
Align the guides on the intrusion switch module with the standoffs on the system.
Slide the intrusion switch module into the slot in the system until firmly seated.
Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, tighten the screw on the intrusion switch module.
Connect the intrusion switch cable to the connector on the rear I/O board.
Install the expansion card risers:
Holding the edges or the touch points, align the holes on the expansion card riser with the guides on the system board.
NOTE:Store the riser blanks for future use. Filler brackets must be installed in empty expansion card slots to maintain Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification of the system. The brackets also keep dust and dirt out of the system and aid in proper cooling and airflow inside the system
Lower the expansion card riser into place and press the touch points until the expansion card riser connector is fully seated on the system board connector.
Tighten the captive screws on the risers and system if any.
