In this video, we show how to replace the I/O board on your computer. The actions in the following video should be performed by a Dell certified technician. Before working inside your computer, review all safety guidelines to protect the computer and ensure your personal safety.

Before you begin, remove the base cover. To remove the I/O board, remove the screws securing the right display hinge. And lift the hinge up.
Now lift the latch on the I/O board for the I/O cable connection. And disconnect the I/O cable. Also, disconnect the speaker cable. Then, remove the screws securing the I/O board to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. Then lift the I/O board to remove it.
To install the I/O board, align the board with the screw holes on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly and place it. Then replace the screws to secure the board. Now reconnect the I/O cable. And close the latch. Also reconnect the speaker cable. Flip the display hinge down. And replace the screws to secure it. For more information or support, visit: Dell.com/Support.
