In this video, we show how to replace the I/O board cable on your computer. The actions in the following video should be performed by a Dell certified technician. Before working inside your computer, review all safety guidelines to protect the computer and ensure your personal safety.

Before you begin, remove the base cover. To remove the I/O board cable, first, open the latch on the I/O board and disconnect the cable.

Now, peel back the adhesive tape. Lift the latch. And disconnect the cable from the system board. Now unroute the cable from the routing guides to remove it. To install the I/O board cable, first, connect the cable to the I/O board. And close the latch.

 Now reconnect the other side to the system board. Close the latch and re-adhere the tape. Now, reroute the cable through the routing guides. For more information or support, visit: Dell.com/Support.
