Before you begin, remove the base cover. To remove the I/O board cable that comes with the interposer board, first, opened the latch. And disconnect the cable.

Next, remove the screw securing the cable. Lift the cable up and remove the interval board. Handle it with care, holding it by the edges and avoid touching the pins. Next, peel off the adhesive tape. And unroute it from the routing guides to remove it. To install the I/O board cable, align and place the interposer board on the connector on the system board.
