Before you begin, remove the palm-rest and keyboard assembly. Now disconnect the battery cable if it wasn't done so. Remove the screws that secure the battery to the base cover. Then lift the battery off.
To install a battery, align the battery with the tabs on the base cover. Then replace the screws to secure it to the base cover. Now reconnect the battery cable. For more information or support visit: Dell.com/Support.
