This policy explains how warranty coverage is determined for these products when they are included with a Dell Client hardware system, purchased on the same order, or purchased separately. This policy is not applicable on any Dell Branded Peripherals purchased with or used in conjunction with any of Dell’s Server, Storage and Networking systems. Please note Dell Monitors and Docking Stations carry their own warranty and support term based on your purchase and are not included in any of the following policies.

The provisions herein do not affect any applicable statutory warranties or other rights for consumers.

1. When a Dell Branded Peripheral Is Included with a Dell Client System

If your Dell Branded Peripheral was included with a Dell Client system, such as a Desktop or All‑in‑One PC, the peripheral will carry the same warranty or support plan that was purchased with the system or the individual peripheral warranty, whichever is longer.

When you contact support, our team will use the Service Tag of the Dell Client system to verify the warranty or support coverage. See regional exceptions for India and Thailand below.

2. When a Dell Branded Peripheral Was Purchased on the Same Order as Your Dell Client System

If your Dell Branded Peripheral was purchased on the same order as your Dell Client hardware system but not included in the system box or part of the original configuration, the peripheral will carry the same warranty or support plan that was purchased with the system or the individual peripheral warranty, whichever is longer.

When you contact support, please provide proof of purchase (invoice or receipt) to verify warranty or support coverage. See regional exceptions for India and Thailand below.

3. When a Dell Branded Peripheral Is Purchased Separately from Any Dell Client System

If your Dell Branded Peripheral was purchased separately and not associated with any Dell Client system order, it carries its own standard warranty, based on the product categories listed above (Consumer, Commercial, or Alienware). The peripheral is not linked to any system warranty, even if later used with a Dell Client system.

When you contact support, please provide proof of purchase (invoice or receipt) to verify warranty coverage.

Regional Exceptions for India and Thailand

For customers in India and Thailand: Dell Branded Peripherals purchased in these two countries will follow the warranty coverage below exclusively, regardless of whether the peripherals were included with the system or purchased on the same order. The peripheral is not linked to any system warranty or support plan, even if later used with a Dell Client system.

Dell Brand NameWarranty TermExample

Alienware2-year standard warrantyAlienware Wireless Gaming Mouse (AW620M)

No Proof of Purchase

If you cannot provide proof of purchase for a Dell Branded Peripheral, whether purchased on the same order as a system or purchased separately, our support team will use the PPID (part identifier located on the peripheral) to determine its manufacturing date. The warranty period of 1 year, 2 years or 3 years will be based on the manufacturing date, unless otherwise required by law.
