This guide walks you through the process of updating necessary drivers and BIOS for your system to ensure proper functionality with the Dell Thunderbolt-16 Dock. Follow the step-by-step instructions to download, install, and restart your system after each update, ensuring your dock is ready for use.
Please note, some systems may require the AC Adapter to be connected to both the system and the dock. Verify with our technical expert if your system requires you to do so. Before we begin, ensure that you have previously installed the drivers for the Thunderbolt-16 Dock.
If at this point you have not, inform our expert for additional instructions. Visit www.dell.com/support. Click on “Detect PC,” select “Drivers and Downloads” and search for “System BIOS.” Download and run the executable file.
Click “OK” to confirm the update and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. After you have successfully updated the BIOS, restart the system. Repeat the previous process for the following drivers.
