In this video, we show how to replace the 5G WWAN Card on a Latitude 7350. Ensure that you always use ESD protection when working inside the computer. Before you begin, create a recovery drive and backup all data and disconnect all attached peripherals Then enter service mode. To enter service mode, press and hold the B key and then press the power button. The computer will boot up and the owner tag information is displayed on the screen. Press any key to proceed.
The computer will emit three short beeps and shut down. Before removing the base cover, Ensure that there is no SD card inserted in your computer. Loosen the eight captive screws securing the base cover to the palmrest and keep assembly. Then use a plastic scribe to pry the base cover starting from the recesses at the top edge. Pry open the top side and then lift it off the chassis. To remove the 5G WWAN card, pry the shielding cover from the top left and lift it off the computer.
Remove the screws securing the bracket to the system board. Then under the rubber sponge, disconnect the antenna cables from the connectors on the card. Slide and remove the card from the slot on the system board. To install 5G WWAN card. Connect the antenna cables to the card as per the color scheme. Align the notch on the card with the tab on the slot, and then slide it into the slot. Now align the screw holes on the bracket with palmrest and keyboard assembly, and then replace the screw.
Place the shielding cover over the card and secure it. To install the base cover, align the base cover with the screw holes and snap it to the palmrest and keyboard assembly Then tighten the eight captive screws to secure it in place. Now connect the power adapter. Finally, press the power button to turn on the computer and exit service mode. Please note the computer will only power on if the power adapter is connected.
