1. Peel the mylar from the optical-drive assembly.
2. Lift the connector latch and, using the pull-tab, disconnect the optical-drive cable from the system board.
3. Peel the optical-drive cable from the fan.
4. Remove the coin-cell-battery cable from the routing guides on the optical-drive bracket.
5. Remove the screw that secures the optical-drive assembly to the palm-rest assembly.
6. Lift the optical-drive assembly at an angle and release it from the tab on the palm-rest assembly.
7. Remove the screws that secure the interposer to the optical-drive assembly.
8. Disconnect the interposer from the optical-drive assembly.
9. Remove the screw that secures the optical-drive bracket to the optical drive.
10. Remove the optical-drive bracket from the optical drive.
