How to Remove the Motherboard on Latitude E5470

This video will demonstrate removal procedure of a Motherboard on Latitude E5470.

Welcome to Dell tech support. In this video, we'll go over the steps for performing a part replacement on your Dell PC. First loosen screws, then use fingers to separate and remove base cover. Now unscrew and disconnect battery. Now unscrew and remove solid state drive. Then unscrew and remove bracket and wireless card.

Now unscrew and remove bracket, then disconnect display cable. Next, unscrew and remove dock frame. Insert paper clip in the pinhole to remove SIM card tray. Now use thin object to pry apart and remove keyboard bezel. Then disconnect keyboard cables. Now unscrew and remove keyboard. Then unscrew and remove heat sink. Now disconnect and remove cooling fan.

Now unscrew and disconnect DC Jack. Next, disconnect cables above palm rest. Then unscrew and remove motherboard. Once replaced, your PC should be ready to be used again.
