Prerequisites
Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
Save and close all open files and exit all open applications.
Shut down your computer. For Windows operating system, click Start > Power button Power > Shut down.
NOTE:If you are using a different operating system, see the documentation of your operating system for shut-down instructions.
Turn off all the attached peripherals.
Disconnect your computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Disconnect all telephone cables, network cables, and attached devices from your computer.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds, after the computer is unplugged, to ground the system board
Remove the stand.
Remove the back cover.
Remove the VESA-mount bracket.
Remove the system-board shield.
Remove the power-supply fan bracket.
Remove the I/O cover.
Remove the I/O board shield.
Removing the Power-Supply Fan:
Remove the screws that secure the power-supply fan to the I/O board shield.
Lift the power-supply fan off the I/O board shield.
