How to rename a Consistency Group using the RecoverPoint CLI. Reference Dell Knowledge Article No. 182742. This video was created to: Demonstrate how to rename a Consistency Group using the RecoverPoint CLI.

When to do this: When the user wants to rename a Consistency Group. When renaming a Consistency Group fails while using RP4VMs HTML5 Plugin. Before you begin ensure you are able to SSH to RPAs with admin credentials.

You can use command get_groups to list the Consistency Groups in the system. Log in to site control RPA using SSH client with user admin. Once logged in, select option six: System Management CLI. Run the command rename_group.

Then enter the current name of the group you want to rename and press Enter. Then enter the new group name and press Enter. Once changed, the system will report that group is renamed successfully.

You can use the command get_groups afterwards to verify the new group name. Reference the following for more information.
