Your computer may look different from the one shown in this video. However, the service procedure is the same. To remove the base cover, loosen the captive screws. Then pry the base cover from the hinge areas, working along with the sides. Then lift and remove the bass cover from the system. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board.
To install the base cover, connect the battery cable to the system board. Then align the base cover on the system. Snap it into place. Tighten the captive screws to secure the base cover. For more information or support, visit Dell.com/Support.
