In this video, we show how to replace the display assembly in a Dell Chromebook. 14 CC14260. The actions in the following video should be performed by a Dell certified technician. Before working inside your system, review all safety guidelines to protect the system and ensure your personal safety.
For full safety information, view the service manual at Dell.com/Support. Before you begin, remove the base cover. To remove the display assembly, remove the screw that secures the WLAN bracket. Take away the bracket from the system board. Disconnect the antenna cable from the system board. And unroute the cable from routing guides.
Remove the screw that secures the display cable bracket to the system board. Take away the bracket from the system. Disconnect the display cable from the system board. Then turn the system and open the display. Then place the at the edge of a flat table. Then hold the display assembly and remove the screws that secure the display assembly on system.
Finally, lift and remove the display assembly off the system. To install the display assembly, place the system at the edge of a flat table. Then align and place the display assembly on the system. Hold the display assembly and fasten the screws that secure it. Connect the display cable to the system board. Align and place the display cable bracket on the system.
Fasten the screw that secures it. Route the antenna cable through the routing guides and connect the antenna cable to the system board. Align and place the WLAN bracket on the system board. And fasten the screw that secures it. For more information or support, visit Dell.com/Support.
