Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer:
Save and close all open files and exit all open applications.
Shut down your computer.
Turn off all the attached peripherals.
Disconnect your computer and all attached devices from their electrical outlets.
Disconnect all attached network devices and peripherals, such as keyboard, mouse, and monitor from your computer.
Remove any media card and optical disc from your computer, if applicable.
Remove the side cover.
Removing the intrusion switch:
Remove the intrusion-switch cable from the routing guides on the chassis.
Disconnect the intrusion-switch cable from the connector on the system board.
Slide and lift the Intrusion switch away from the computer.
Installing the Intrusion switch:
Slide the intrusion switch into the slot on the chassis.
Route the intrusion-switch cable through the routing guides on the chassis.
Connect the intrusion-switch cable to the connector on the system board.
Install the side cover.
Follow the procedure in After working inside your computer:
Replace all screws and ensure that no stray screws remain inside your computer.
Connect any external devices, peripherals, or cables you removed before working on your computer.
Replace any media cards, discs, or any other components that you removed before working on your computer.
Connect your computer and all attached devices to their electrical outlets.
Turn on your computer.
