In this video, we show how to replace the keyboard control board in a Dell Chromebook 14 CC14260. The actions in the following video should be performed by a Dell certified technician. Before working inside your system, review all safety guidelines to protect the system and ensure your personal safety.
For full safety information, view the service manual at Dell.com/Support. Before you begin, remove the base cover. To remove the keyboard control board, disconnect the keyboard control board cable from the system board. Then remove the two screws that secure it to the system.
Flip the keyboard control board and disconnect the keyboard cable from the keyboard control board and take it away. Then disconnect and remove the keyboard control board cable from the keyboard control board. To install the keyboard control board, connect the cable to the keyboard control board.
Then connect the keyboard cable to the control board. Then flip and align it to the system. Fasten the two screws that secure the control board. Connect the control board cable to the system board. For more information or support, visit Dell.com/Support.
